About StillWaters Yacht Club

Founded in 1991, the objective of the StillWaters Yacht Club is to promote safe boating as a wholesome sport and provide for a fun-loving group of friends who gather regularly to share a love of boating and good times. SWYC has been the launching point for countless adventures, whether cruising on our beautiful 44,000 acre Lake Martin, or taking occasional trips to locations ranging from the Gulf of Mexico to Canada, where boating is always our central theme. On a regular basis, our boating enthusiasts from anywhere along the eastern shores of Lake Martin gather for events such as weekly happy hours, pot luck suppers and holiday feasts in a community club room or in members’ homes. We also proudly support our local community through charitable contributions and service projects.

Q. What are user levels?
A. We need our married members to register as couples. To accomplish this, one spouse must be the primary user (User 1), and the other a level 2 user (User 2). By registering as couples, reservations can be made by User 1 for both members of the family.
Q. How do I decide who should be the Primary User (User 1) in my family?
A. The one who makes the reservations in the family! The person to register should be the person most likely to RSVP for events, read "The Captain’s Watch" and look for announcements from the club. Remember, a User 1 can RSVP for both of you.  A User 2 can only RSVP for themselves.
Q. How do I register?
A. Registration is a two step process. First the primary user (User 1) registers. When this is completed, user 1 registers the spouse. To begin, select "Register" located in the upper right hand corner of this page. This opens a new page, where you select "Membership". A form will open for you to complete. Fill out the form, check the box "I'm not a robot" and select "Continue". After this is completed you will receive an email with your logon information.
Q. How do I register my spouse as a level 2 user (User 2)?
A. After you have registered and logged in to your new account, go to "Your Profile" in the upper right hand corner of the home page. Now go to "Your Level 2 Members" and click on "add". Complete the form to add your level 2 user (User 2). If you share a single email address, leave the email address block blank for user 2.
Q. Do I really need to register my spouse as a level 2 user (User 2)?
A. Yes! This is an important step that will allow you to RSVP for both of you. The information you provide will also be useful to other members for things like the spouse’s cell phone number, birthday and email address if it is different from the User 1's email address.  Club emails go out to all email addresses listed for all users.
Q. We have the same email address and the website won't accept the User 2 email address.
A. Leave the email address blank for the level 2 user (User 2). Be sure you have listed your email address for User 1. You must have an email address listed for at least one of the users to receive notifications from the SWYC.

How to Join Our Club

Over the years, members have formed lasting friendships, but we’re always open to new crews whose idea of fun is boating with good friends by your side and opportunities to socialize year-round. If this sounds attractive to you, we’d like to get to know you. To accomplish this, we ask our prospective members to attend several of our gatherings so we can get to know each other. If you already know a member, let them know you are interested and would like to attend one of our events. If you don’t know a club member, contact us by email or drop us a note at our P.O. Box and we can arrange for a member to contact you and get the process started. Our contact information can be found at the bottom of this page.
